Gibralfaro es un monte de 130 metros de altitud, situado en la ciudad española de Málaga. Corona en su cima el castillo de Gibralfaro y en su falda se ubican otros monumentos, como la Alcazaba, Teatro Romano, etc…Gibralfaro, en la parte central frente a la bahía de Málaga.Su proceso constructivo comenzó 1528 y finalizó en 1782 aunque de forma inconclusa. El castillo Gibralfaro es un sitio donde van millones de turistas al año por sus increíbles vistas.
The Gibralfaro Castle is located in Málaga, next to the Alcazaba. The castle of Gibralfaro is a fortification located on the top of the hill over the city of Malaga. It is one of the most visited places in Málaga. The king, named Nazarita Yusuf I, in 1340 turned this fortification into his strongest settlement. The Gibralfaro Castle measures 130 meters of altitude and it was built to welcome the army and to protect the Alcazaba. From the walls of the Castle of Gibralfaro, you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views. You can get to the castle walking through the passage that lead to the Alcazaba, or you can take a taxi or one of the urban or tourist buses that can take you directly there. The entry to the castle is free on sundays afternoon and very affordable every morning on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
